Yup, lots of tracks in the snow after Tuesday's all-day slop dump.
Happily, we had a gorgeous "bluebird" day to scurry around dealing with the effects of the day before and get ready for the day ahead.
Snow is falling again and will continue to do so most of the day.
So, after morning chores yesterday, I enjoyed an hour or so of plowing the lane and cleaning out a wide area around the barn.
Four tons of hay would be arriving in the afternoon, so it was important to make sure that there was plenty of room for whatever rig Harvey's crew brought.
Turned out to be a flatbed with a hay wagon, so my efforts were well worth the time.
Still, it's always worth the time to have to sit on a tractor to get some plowing done with the added benefit of admiring the stunning scenery created by a fresh blanket of snow and gorgeous blue skies.
Hard to beat.
I also love walking into my barn after yesterday's delivery and seeing hay stacked to the ceiling in one stall and pretty much filling up another.
The horses should have plenty to eat for the next four months. Plus, two more tons will come when this installment runs out.
The barn also has another stack of bags filled with shavings. This particular brand is home-produced at Lignetics in Kootenai.
The company has gotten into the business of producing attractive bags of pine shavings for horse bedding.

When I go out a little later to bed the barns, it will be fun to see the much advertised fluff. Bet the horses will approve.
It's a good feeling knowing that we're well supplied with the necessities for the beloveds.
And now for Thursday Throwbacks.
Again this week, I had fun scrolling through my photos from the past several years and pulling out some for today.
In each case, the photos provide me with some healthy nostalgia of good times and good friends in past settings.
These are among the many folks in this area who truly make it "a wonderful life."
Enjoy.
