To lead off:
Emma did all the work,
with
a little help from several friends and family members.
Now that the proper credit has been established,
I'll get on with the fact that we enjoyed a fun and food-filled evening last night at the "Love Shack."
That's where Willie, Debbie, Emma and the grandpuppies, Todd, Brooke and Joe (now known as "No Joe") live.
Our new friend Olivia wanted to cook us a German dinner, and it turned out that all three German exchange students at Sandpoint High School helped out with the food: Emma, Kathy and Miriam.
Miriam brought the sauce for making pasta, Kathy, who has watched the movie Pitch Perfect at least a thousand times, including last night, serenaded us at the dinner table and, of course,
Emma did all the work.
Well, Olivia did help too, making the goulash and potato dumplings.
The rest of us showed up to eat and to laugh A LOT.
Olivia insisted that every serving bowl be emptied before we left the table.
That was not a problem.
Twas all sehr gut.
Conviviality reigned throughout, especially when four Germans kept lively conversations going in German.
The rest of us listened and laughed.
We had a great time. The dogs enjoyed the company, and I don't want to forget to emphasize that
Emma did all the work!
To our German friends,
vielen Dank!
Alle hatten eine gute Zeit!!!
Happy Saturday.
GO, ZAGS!

Joe aka No Joe |
Christmas from Germany IN February. This package, sent before Christmas, arrived at the Love Shack yesterday. Better late than never; a nice extension to Christmas. |
Silly girls!
Emma, the worker bee, Miriam and Kathy.
