Imagination/ TBT's

Come with me
And you'll be
In a world of pure imagination

Take a look
And you'll see
Into your imagination

We'll begin
With a spin
Traveling in
The world of my creation

What we'll see
Will defy
Explanation

If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it

Want to change the world?
There's nothing to it

There is no life I know
 To compare with pure imagination
Living thereYou'll be free
If you truly wish to be

If you want to see magic lands . . .

                                . . . Close your eyes and you will see one

Want to be a dreamer, be one
Anytime you please and please save me one

Come with me
And you'll be
In a world of pure imagination

Take a look
And you'll see
Into your imagination

There is no
Place to go
To compare with your imagination

So go there
To be free
If you truly wish to be

Living there
You'll be free
If you truly wish to be

~~~~~
When I think about the world in which we live, I believe the words above are not only timely but therapeutic.
Those words were the first I heard this morning as I sat here at the computer and sipped on my first cup of coffee.
Each and every morning, music---usually Irish---helps me wake up and get in touch with the world's happenings overnight.
This morning I had my new CD featuring Affiniti, and Willy Wonka's song is the first on the album.
Listening to these words through the beautiful instrument aka voice of Emmer Barry and her accompanying harp, violin, etc. is the ultimate "music to the ears."
That combination brings the words alive in such a way that one cannot help but feel inspired.
And, so my inspiration this morning comes from Emmer and Affiniti as well as some events in the world and within my life.
Imagination and vision are such nice tools to have, especially on a morning when outside the door lies heavy snow and the unwelcome promise of obstacles aplenty.
We can dream of other places, other times, be they past, present or future.
In those dreams, we might even initiate something good, not only for ourselves but for the world around us.
Seems as if we can travel down whichever roads we choose and choose to believe whatever is thrown on our plate.
So, why not, every so often, pursue a place for escape---our imagination??
I truly believe that our imagination offers a much safer and comforting environment than the many of the reality shows of life.
Plus, it's fun to imagine!
Happy Thursday.
