A pretty iconic scene in the Love house on laid-back winter nights leading up Christmas.
TV going, usually on the Hallmark Channel, Christmas tree looking pretty with colorful reflections bouncing off the sliding-glass door and a fire in the stove, keeping things toasty and cozy.
Quite often, while keeping track of the movie, Annie's checking out stuff on her iphone.
After all, with Hallmark movies, we usually already know the plot, right?
Over the past couple of years, Bill has joined the Lovestead Hallmark crowd, even becoming an aficionado of sorts, often predicting how each particular movie is gonna turn out.
What you don't and won't see in this living room scene, taken from the deck last night, happens virtually every night on these winter holiday evenings.

Mom, Dad, or maybe even both old Love's, are no longer watching the Hallmark Christmas love story.
Mid, or maybe even "early" plot, they have lost control and succumbed to their oft-winter naps.

Not a pretty sight, at least in my case. One time not-nice Annie took a picture, so I know!
It's kinda funny with Bill, especially when I'm awake and watching.
Last night he had progressed to the "sprawled out" stage at his end of the couch.

Of course, we're not the only nappers at prime time here in the Love house when the TV is going.
The dogs do a good job too.
Liam hangs out, snoozing in the bedroom, while Foster rules the roost in between naps in the living room.

After all, those folks---both asleep and awake---are HIS personal peeps, and he's NOT gonna share them with Liam.
If Liam does, by chance, build up the nerve to head for the living room, Foster instantly awakes from deep mini Aussie-dog slumber and lets out an intimidating, high-pitched warning snarl.
Liam immediately recoils and returns to the safety of the bedroom.
Never mind that Liam is about three times the size of Foster.
The little guy staked out his territory and his humans long ago, and he's not in to sharing.
So, Liam always knows his place.
Yesterday Foster accompanied his main peep Annie to the barn and waited on one side of the wall while Miss Sunny stood cautiously inside her abode, the tack room.
Sunny can go in and out of her home through that opening in the wall. I'm betting that she waited yesterday for Foster to leave.
She's a cat, and she's smart enough to keep herself safe, 'cept maybe when she thinks she needs to dodge back and forth beneath the horses' bellies as they're led out of the barn.
After a couple of heart-stopping experiences, I soon learned that Sunny needed to be blocked off from hanging out in the alley during horse egress and ingress.
So, a plywood board goes over her opening during that time and is slid away when the horses are where they belong.
In a nutshell, both Sunny and Foster survived yesterday's moments on their respective sides of the wall.
Plus, I thought this was a pretty neat photo taken by Annie.
Later, she took this selfie with Swiss Miss at Schweitzer yesterday.
On this Monday morning, the second day before Christmas, both Bill and Annie are working.
In Bill's case, it's tending to the forest tax-exemption plans which need to be filed before the end of the year.
Annie is fortunate to have a career where she can do her work on her laptop, so she'll be putting in some "remote" hours today.
I'll be tying up the loose ends of Christmas preparation, which, happily, have gotten down to a minimum.
Should be a fun day, especially because it should end with our men's ZAGS ranked No. 1 in the nation.
What a wonderful Christmas gift for them and their fans, especially those in the Inland Northwest who live a fan-related ZAGS lifestyle throughout the season!
Over the past few years, we Love's have become big ZAG women's fans too, and they ain't doin' so bad this year: just one loss and continually moving up in the rankings.
We are blessed to have such phenomenal teams to follow, especially because they do so much of the "right stuff" both on and off the court.
GO, ZAGS!
Happy Monday.
