You have followed the lifelong journey of the blond-haired boy with those big brown eyes who always loved basketball and then, the same young man with a hint of gray in his hair who eventually became a much beloved young prep head coach.
You also know and appreciate the cast of supporting stars, friends or family and community members who've either stood beside or guided this coach in his continuing quest for perfection.
And, you're his proud mom.
So, of course, you'll never forget a beautiful February night in Les Rogers Bulldog Gym, observing an almost continuous smile on your "usually serious" son's face as his team, played as a team, worked out a few early glitches and then worked their hearts out, sailing to victory and recording a perfect league record.
A dream come true, for Willie and his team, as they now sit in the driver's seat for post-season contests culminating in a trip to the State Tournament in Nampa.
The girls varsity plays again Wednesday IN Les Rogers Bulldog Gym in hopes of securing that state tournament berth.
Congratulations SHS Bulldogs.
Congratulations to all who have contributed to this wonderful season for the SHS Bulldog girls varsity basketball team.
Girls Basketball Team Members, you have distinguished your school and its sports program, your families and your community.
