It's definitely transition time for the spring season here at the Lovestead.
With the last patch of snow hanging on as best it can near the shop, our horses spent the night outside for the first time.
Yup, this is the time where cleaning stalls every morning comes to an end in exchange for watering garden veggies and flowers.
With their barnyard smoothed up from harrowing the day before yesterday, the horses seemed to enjoy their first night out.
They even put on a brief galloping, racing, snorting show for the Friday-night dinner crowd last night.
It's also always a nice feeling when mornings come and I don't have to wear those heavy barn boots outside.
So, horses and old ladies are definitely feeling a new sense of freedom with dry ground and a lot less weight on the feet.
Last night we enjoyed another coronavirus-era Friday-night get together where everyone ('cept maybe a dog or two) knows the rules and keeps their distance.
Lots of good visiting and a relaxed atmosphere, although all of us would are looking forward to a meal without several layers of clothes to keep warm.
Not a lot else to mutter about this morning, so I'll live up to the post title, send you to another blog below and keep this one slight.

It's been a while since we've heard how things are going up at her home in Hope.
Finally, over the past few weeks, Annie has logged dozens of miles walking around Seattle each day as a means of getting out of her tiny apartment.
Of course, her Facebook friends have been treated to some phenomenal photos of her community which is alive with the bright and beautiful colors of spring flowers.
On one of her jaunts, she snapped the photo below, which serves as a positive reminder.
For many reasons within this country of ours, may we all continue to hope.
