Falling leaves, stars in the morning sky, mist rising from fields, bright blue, smokeless skies.
Could be a better adieu to Summer, 2020.
What a season it has been, jam-packed with activities in the mountains, along the trails, on the water, at home!
In spite of what our mind's eyes and ears see and hear on the news, we have been able to fill our plates full with wonderful and memorable distractions.
Could be, thanks to abundant outside frustrations, we've even done a better job than usual, basking in every single aspect of summer.
Have we learned a lesson or two during this summer of 2020???
Probably so. We've maybe learned a bit more about the simple gifts of life which come free for the seeking or the asking.
Family, friends and the grand aspects of the natural world which remain a constant inspiration for getting up every morning.
And, now we say good bye and usher in a new season and maybe even some new lessons about life.
Who knows what Autumn, 2020 will bring. Let's hope that when we say good bye to the upcoming season, we have learned those lessons and we have found even more ways to enjoy the simple gifts of life.
Every day we are reminded that life is precious and beautiful.
Let us keep digging for our inner strength and make the most of this upcoming season of life as we have with the one that comes to an end on this day.
Bye, Bye, Summer, 2020!
You've been a good one.
