There are times I think I'm a pretty lucky gal.
Actually lots of times.
Some times stand out more than others.
Yesterday was such a time: a perfect day with blue sky and sunshine, comfortable temperatures, success with a pretty horse, fun with beloved pups, brilliance and beauty of fall, sweet memories shared about a former neighbor who is now reunited with her husband in a better place and joyful time spent with some wonderful people in one of our more charming historical places.
I came home last night after a photo shoot, brimming with excitement and filled with joy.
I'm from Sandpoint, and I couldn't be any prouder.
I feel that way pretty much every time I'm reminded of what a charmed life we do lead here, especially when most of our lives have been spent in this very special spot on Earth.
I think the pride and joy elevated just a bit yesterday, thanks to those who made my day throughout the day, simply by being the "dear hearts and gentle people who live in my hometown."
And, that also includes those who have chosen my hometown as the place they want to live.
A day like yesterday provides a much-needed affirmation that all is well in many places and levels throughout this country where the folks you know go about their day enjoying life and contributing with their inherent positivity to the general quality of life to which we all aspire.
Twas a very good day.
