I have a commitment today, so will keep this blog post brief and send you to the link above.
The newest issue of Sandpoint Magazine has hit the streets.
First, I want to congratulate editor Trish Gannon and other staff members for their efforts in seeing that the bi-annual publication came out on time.
It's truly a monumental achievement for Trish who has also been undergoing treatments for cancer for the past few months.
Trish, dear friend, you are an inspiration.
This issue, which includes oodles of information about Schweitzer Mountain Resort and its upcoming season, also celebrates 30 years of publications for Sandpoint Magazine, founded by Keokee owner Chris Bessler.
So, there are thoughts and special memories about the publication featuring several longtime contributors.
I'd like to thank Chris and all the editors over the years for the wonderful story assignments they've given me.
Each experience, no matter how brief or extensive the story, has changed my life for the better.
Of course, you'll also read some great features about happenings and people in our beautiful area.
In this issue, I had the thrill of doing profiles on two natives and two newcomers to Sandpoint. All four contribute in their own unique way to this diverse community.
I also saw a lovely photo of our daughter-in-law Debbie in conjunction with a Food Bank/Litehouse, Inc. collaboration to feed the hungry.
Finally, it was a big thrill to contribute a photo of our beloved home to go with a great story by Beth Hawkins about preparing for winter in North Idaho.
Lots of great reads and neat photos, so check it out. Enjoy another painting (below) by my Irish friend Billy Austin.
Happy Saturday.
