Annie sent me a text with a photo yesterday. Her upbeat message, said, "Mom, when you get your new phone, I can show you how to get pictures like this."
After admiring the photo directly below, I wrote back and said I might try to order my phone today.
Annie will be home in a month, so she can show me some of the photo options on my new i-phone 21 Pro.
This particular phone, with its super camera, is not available at the local AT and T store, and there's no sign of when they'll have them, so ordering might be the best route.
The sooner the better regarding a new phone, as my current phone is limping along and often threatening to just give up because of its faulty battery connection.
Two mornings this week, I've found the plugged-in phone dead. With each occurrence, I've figure it might signal the last ounce of life for the phone.
Luckily, though, with enough tinkering, the charger has finally gone into action, and the phone comes alive.
Anyway, while waiting for a new phone, I can look at Annie's photos, taken on a weekend trip to Northwestern Washington, and dream of fun times ahead.
In other news, this week is offering some more opportunities not usually seen in January.
I spent a couple of hours outside yesterday with my rake and cart, tidying up areas around the trees in the yard.
More dead leaves, twigs and limbs will surely fall before spring, but the activity and the spring-like air just felt good.
Later, I went to the garden with the pruning shears and cut back all my raspberry bushes.
I'm sure we'll have plenty of winter ahead, but these pleasant breaks in the season have made life much more bearable.
My friend Connie from Hope offers some weather-related news and some neat photos in her most recent blog.
A beautiful sight, symbolizing the American ideal.
May we work together to restore---through decency, compassion, education, positive examples, mutual respect, truth and effective, altruistic leadership---that very ideal which has meant so much to so many.
It's time.
