Here We Go a-Shoveling

 

The family that shovels together takes Ibuprofen together.

An apt summation for this week.  

While shoveling around the barn this morning, Bill and I were both making plans for when we were gonna take our doses today. 

Before, during or after shoveling?  That is the question.

Maybe all three!

Thirteen new inches overnight and still snowing.

Our animals are safe. 

They've had their breakfast.

Don't know where the turkeys have gone but not on our deck this morning.

There's a coziness to the house, thanks to the wood stove.

The power has gone off a couple of times but has come back quickly. 

Enjoying our morning coffee.  

We'll go out there and tackle it some more come daylight. 

There's plenty to do. 

Hope everyone else is safe and doing okay this morning.

For the record:  still hasn't come close to the winter of 1968-69.  Ahh, but the winter is young!

Snow load finally got to be too much. 

If only I could get to it to remove it from its precarious situation.

Maybe in the spring.
