One Fine Day

The snow over the weekend, predicted by weather forecasters and dreaded by me, landed exactly where it needed to be:  in the mountains.

And, when we awakened on the day after a predicted bad weather day, our spirits rose.

The sun had returned.

The earth was clean.

And, scenes across the landscape were something to behold.

In some places, we could see three seasons beautifully represented.

Other images just took our breath away with their composition of natural wonders and brilliant blends of color.

Yesterday was truly a "WOW" day, which made our morning trip to Canada nothing less than spectacular.

Around the Lovestead, the magnificence of nature just shouted out every direction.

And, along the way to Canada, we couldn't imagine the scenes getting any prettier.

But they did. Our trip with Annie refected absolutely perfect timing.  I don't think I've ever seen Kootenay Lake and its surrounding mountains THAT pretty.

The scenes all along the highway begged for time to stand still so we could embrace them and document them.

But, we had just so much time because Annie had to get to Spokane Airport to catch her flight back to Seattle.

So, for the most part, the colors and the glory flashed by both literally and figuratively.

Fortunately, however, we did have a few opportunities in geocache land to stop to find caches and to breathe in the ultra beauty.

What a day in Mother Nature's world!

It truly was a good day from morning to night, especially with the Seahawks winning.

That's all I've got to say.

Happy Monday, and thank you, Mother Nature.
