Just Wednesday Stuff

Time for a little color, especially on this gray morning.

I found these bright colors on a mural down at the Bonner County Heritage Museum yesterday.

I was there, looking for areas where no snow can be seen.  Today I'll go back, meet a photo subject and snap her picture.

Turns out that once you carefully walk your way through some crusty uneven snow trails, there's bare ground and enjoyable walking.

While walking on the sidewalk to the museum, I met two volunteers Sue and Dave Brooks.  It's been quite a while since we've seen each other so it was fun to do a little catching up.

Inside, other volunteers and staff were working on various projects.

While visiting with them, I decided to pay my museum dues, so Hannah, the executive director, happily took care of the transaction.

It was good to spend some time there, and maybe, as winter moves on, I'll stop by again.

The local museum is always a neat place with fun and dedicated people doing the important work of local history.

BTW:  according to the website:  The Museum is closed to the public for the month of January while we focus on collections projects.

For assistance, you can make an appointment by calling 208-263-2344. We will reopen for regular hours on February 1st.

How does your garden grow?

Well, here at the Lovestead, the pansies are coming up as are some daisies.

I thought I was going to receive some more veggie seeds in the mail yesterday, but they didn't show up.

Maybe today.

Then, the card table will come out to reside next to the sliding-glass door where the excitement of tomato plants bursting up through the soil will happen in February.

I'll probably plant some lettuce too and maybe more flowers.

It's a satisfying feeling, during the winter, to welcome and nurture  itsy bitsy plants and think about how it's going to be when they can go outside, continue growing and eventually produce either eats or beauty.

It's really only the Border Collie that prompted me to post this photo today.

Actually, Bill and I are thrilled to see all the nominations for the Banshees, especially after a guided tour we took over the Aran Island of Inis Mor in 2021 when our driver pointed at a house off on a hillside and told us  a movie with Colin Farrell was being filmed on the island.

Now, that movie has been produced and released and is receiving some pretty impressive acclaim.
