A LOVEly Holiday.

There is so much in this world to love.

Special days like today, with all the hype and sugar and pretty flowers, remind us, while we're eating the candy and admiring the flowers, about all the dimensions of LOVE.

I LOVE having the name LOVE because it reminds me every day of the year that, along with the name, comes a responsibility.

Do I always meet to that responsibility?

Heck no.

I like to think I'm human.

Granted, there are things I really hate in this world--jerks, unfair judgments, cheaters, liars, too much bad weather, arrogance . . . .

Yeah, there is probably more to add to the list, but I'm happy to report that my "things I LOVE" list is much longer.

I love my husband, my children, my family members, my friends, my 4-legged beloveds, beautiful music, gorgeous scenery, good people doing good things, new experiences, travel, good food, Ireland, Border Collies, ZAGS, photography . . . .

And, so today, I'll work on spending even more time loving what I love and the world around me.

I'm sure the focus will get interrupted from time to time, like when I turn on the news, but I'll give it a good shot.

May you be surrounded by love and may you enjoy whatever you happen to love in your world.

It's a good 4-letter day.

Happy Valentine's Day to all.

To SHS alumni or friends who don't live in Sandpoint.

While you eat your chocolates, here's a link to the league tournament championship last Friday night when the Sandpoint High Bulldog girls varsity earned a trip to State.

The team, now 17-5,  leaves tomorrow and play their first game at the State Tournament on Thursday at 1 p.m. PST.

Will have information on how you can live stream the game and will post it on the blog tomorrow or Thursday.

Enjoy your chocolates AND the game.

This just seems appropriate for today because the SHS girls varsity head coach is named LOVE.
