Can't help but feel like the Zags had this one nearly in the bag, but Saint Mary's aka Aidan Mahaney showcased why they are a team you don't want to face in March.
Let's return the favor back in Spokane.

I told Bill this morning that the ZAGS' loss last night stung badly because it looked as if they were going to win the game until those last couple of minutes.
The ZAGS lost in overtime to St. Mary's. Final score was 78-70.
But, as my friend Julie said, "We will get them next time."
And, we probably will.
After all, college basketball this year has turned out to be a general crap shoot.
Any team, it seems, can win big one day and fold the next.
Gonzaga isn't any different from numerous top tier teams, as was obvious yesterday with several basketball giants tumbling during my basketball binge watching.
Looking for a bounce back next Thursday.
GO, ZAGS!
In other news, I loved the Facebook comments on my blog promotion yesterday.
Of course, I knew all those items on the table in the lead picture were plants or pots soon to have plants.
Seems the display looked more like a food spread to many readers. My friend Jean thought I'd gone overboard on the brownies.
My only response: hopefully some day a good portion of the stuff on that table will turn to food.

We did take time out from bingeing on basketball yesterday to get outside, once the rain stopped.
Conditions were not the most desirable, but the fresh air felt good, and we could see some noticeable melting of snow.
And, growing patches of green grass!
Bill did some chainsaw work at the wood shed, while I took pictures and filled the bird feeders.
We have noticed that a lone turkey seems to have adopted us, at least our bird feeders.
The turkey comes and goes from the feeders so often that the dogs don't even notice its presence.
Bill said, "Ya kinda feel sorry for it, being all alone."
To which I agreed.
We also washed dogs.
Liam and Bridie spent more than an hour racing around the barnyard fence.
When it was time for them to come in, there was no way a little toweling off was gonna have any impact on the wet-dog smell.
So, they stood for some hosing off. I think their acceptance of that cold water on their legs is inspired only by how much they LOVE their toweling afterward.
All in all, it was an okay Saturday, 'cept for the way it ended. Better games ahead.
Happy Sunday.
