It's good to have wet-weather break, as long as it doesn't last for days.
I think we may luck out with this one. We're supposed to have a really rainy day today, taper off a bit tomorrow and maybe even stop on Sunday.
We've all been going like gangbusters since the summerlike weather began, so a slowdown will be welcome.
When I think back on this week and look around the place to see what's been accomplished, I'm feeling pretty good.
More fence painted, garden worked up and about halfway planted, flower pots and other spots putting on color shows, a horse ridden, deer visits, lawn mowed.
It's been a great week, and I must say that we have really enjoyed spectacular spring colors over the past few days.
We've also seen dust build up, both inside and out. This morning I walked alongside one of the cedar hedges that border the road right-of-way.
It was almost clean from the overnight rain and it color had brightened up considerably.
I don't even want to imagine how dirty it would be in our yard and around our house if those hedges weren't there to catch the dust.
Speaking of which, I still have a good supply of dust on my furniture, so some rainy-day projects inside seem to be in order.
And, some quiet time will be nice.
Happy Friday. Enjoy the outdoor cleanse.
