Canada, Ireland: 'dogs, Et. Al.

Just a tale of two dogs here---one from Canada; the other from Ireland.

There's Dad's dog and Annie's dog, enjoyed and consumed thousands of miles apart on the same day.

Bill split his dog with barbecued brisket and slaw and the trimmings between lunch and dinner.

He started out at the Brizz Brew Pub in Cranbrook, British Columbia, yesterday and finished the second half while watching football in our living room last night.

I don't know the story of Annie's Irish 'dog from Dublin, but I'm sure she enjoyed every bite.

While Annie probably had a Guinness with her 'dog, Bill sampled some hazy pale from Fernie, B.C. and approved.

Anyway, while Annie was wrapping up her last day in Ireland, Bill and I took a one-day International trip to Canada yesterday.

We enjoyed every minute spent across the border, as did the dogs.

Have to admit that we were totally surprised to see how much snow has fallen from the border onward. Our greeter at the brew pub told us it had snowed for four days in the Cranbrook area.

As we drove around, we could see that the area has an impressive start on its winter along with its share of beautiful winter scenery.

Our trip offered a great getaway, albeit brief.

And, now with today being the start of Advent, we'll focusing on Christmas activities and all that leads up to the day.

Lots of photos today from Canada and Ireland, along with a beautiful Irish instrumental classic.

As always, it's kinda fun to scroll through the photos while listening to the music (video at the bottom).

Happy Sunday.  Enjoy the photos and your day.

No sitting outside on the patio at Brixx Brewhouse in Cranbrook yesteday, but the bathrooms were sure nice, as was the food.

We were pretty amazed at the number of urban deer, feeling totally at home in people's yards, as we drove through a residential area in Cranbrook.

Now, a few scenes from Annie's last days in Ireland, including some of her geocaching friends.
