Twas fun seeing Boston and her mother Tricia Dickens at different times and places yesterday.
Tricia brought me some sourdough starter and gave me a quick tutorial on what to do with it.
The starter came from her starter named Charles.
After she left, I decided it would be most appropriate to name my Charles' progeny "Dickens."
Hoping to see some the "best of times" when it's time to bake a loaf of sourdough bread.

Below is a link to an interesting story about some exciting stuff happening at what us Sandpoint oldsters know as the old City Hall on the corner of Second and Main.
Lots of locals have memories of the place as it served as City Hall and the library.
The police and fire station were both part of the complex. My dad Harold Tibbs, who worked for the City Water Department, spent a lot of time there visiting with both cops and firemen.
Lots of stories around our dinner table emanated from what Harold heard while visiting at City Hall.
Enjoy the story.

Our family has been among the educators in this area a LONG time.
From Iva Tibbs, a one-room school house teacher 75-plus years ago, to Willie Love, currently a teacher and coach at Sandpoint High School.
from today's Bonner County History notes.
