Got Rain

The day started out like what you see above.

By about 2, the clouds, the rain, the lightning, the thunder and even a couple of helpings of hail arrived at different times.

It was wild enough that we even lost our television signal.

I don't think too many of us were quite ready for all that weather drama.

Still, it's adding even more luster to the deep green of the growing spring grass.

We also had a thorough washdown.

It came at a good time to boost all the beauty that has been unfolding virtually everywhere.

Also, yesterday, the honey bees came for their season.

I saw one in the grass west of the house and thought that the hives must be here.

Sure enough while standing at the end of the driveway, I could see them in Taylor's field south of us.

Welcome back, bees.  Always good to see them doing their work around the place.

Annie and Bill left for the Spokane Airport about the time the rain came.

It was a fun weekend having her home.

Sandpoint fans of Brandon Casey were applauding yesterday afternoon as he learned that he has been invited work out and vie for a spot on the Seattle Seahawks roster during summer camp.

We have no doubt that Brandon will work his heart out to get added to the team.  If he does winter around here should be fun on Sunday afternoons.

Congratulations and good luck, Brandon.

With today's sunshine and some more rain predicted overnight, I'll be keeping busy with the lawnmower and maybe even the rototiller today.

Never too many dull moments around here in the spring.

Happy Monday.  Enjoy the day.
