Thursday This, That; TBT

The morning fog show has been creating some fun photographic possibilities around the Lovestead.

With no need to water so much, Bridie and I go for a walk in the woods every morning.  Today there were some beautiful scenes.

This morning I also noticed that we had visitors on the west side of the barn last night.

Yesterday while digging up my minimal potato crop, I took down some of the netting which was attached to posts as a makeshift fence.

Nobody had to tell the deer that a new opening to the west garden had opened up.  Someone had a feast on the chard which has been growing huge leaves.

It's okay.  I'm pretty much done with the gardening and harvesting, so the deer can have their helpings.

My neighbor Leslie posted that they had been eating her petunias.  Well, Leslie, they've been over here eating petunias also.

Happily, they've left the flowers around the deck alone.

This man died last week, at least, according to a recent Facebook post.

It was late last week when I read the post announcing his death.

He was a former student, and I knew his family so I wrote a private condolence note to them AND I included him in my prayers.

Well, I won't have to pray for Gary anymore because yesterday we passed each other on Bailey Road where I had gone looking for photos.

I found a few and also found Gary on his hot 3-wheeled cycle.

Talk about doing a 360 in the middle of the road after that sighting!  It's a quiet road, so that's okay.

I drove the direction he had gone and caught up with him as he was getting off from his motorcycle at his home.

Gary said someone else had mentioned his passing, but he assured me that he's doing just fine, thank you!

As for the Facebook jokester, what a cruel creep!

In other news, we are to R-minus 1 and now counting the hours until our 60th-year reunion.

We are excited.

The committee members are ready to decorate, and when that's done at the Elks late tomorrow afternoon, we'll all be traveling Memory Lane as classmates arrive.

It should be a fun weekend.

And, it's another beautiful day.

Happy Thursday.

Thursday Throwbacks . . . . assorteds from the photo library.  Enjoy.
