Bridie looked all over for the horses this morning.
Nobody mentioned to Bridie that we hauled them off yesterday and left them at Roxane's.
It will be interesting if she still looks for them tomorrow morning.
Since she had no horses to watch, she barked at a lot of nothing's when we went on our walk.
A working dog has to have something to do.
We began our new morning routine, just a few minutes later than usual to allow for daylight to come.
I shoveled for a while at one side door to the barn. There are three, and each needs to have the manure and dirt removed so the door will slide shut.
I'll work at it a little at a time so my muscles don't start screaming at me.
With luck, the doors should be shut for the winter by the weekend.
We were really pleased with how seamless the horse transport turned out to be.
I was concerned because CB peeled up his face while unloading when we brought them home in the spring.
This time Mom didn't have a brain fart about untying the lead rope before going into the trailer. Plus, my sister Laurie came along, and, happily, CB did not pull back or have a panic attack.
So, all went well, and they've spent a night at their winter home.

Speaking of pretty horses, our family of Arabian lovers can now feel a connection with Pope Leo XIV because he is the new owner of an Arabian stallion named Proton.
Nice gift.
I love this thought from Anthony Bourdain. Sure do miss his amazing food shows from around the world.
His words resonate, and they are so true.
I think of all the priceless and intangible gifts I've received thanks to traveling.
And, as uncomfortable as it can be (not fun doing the air travel these days), there are always rewards awaiting at each destination.
Thursday Throwbacks . . . .assorteds from the photo library. Enjoy.
First ever State Champion girls basketball (for boys or girls) trophy for Sandpoint High School.
Will there be more to come soon?
We six siblings need to get together again for a family photo. It's been 10 years since this, the last one, was taken: Jim, Kevin, Mike. Back Row: Laurie, Barbara and Marianne.
