Alice Wallace is following in her mother Florence Carter's footsteps as a shaker and doer in Sandpoint and within the State Soil and Water Conservation circles. Alice is director of the Bonner County Food Bank, and she sure would love to see some turkeys over the next several days for families in need: she figures this year between 700 and 1,000 will be needed to see that local hard-pressed families can enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner.
