It's difficult to keep my hands off this cucumber, but I need to hold back from plucking it off the vine. It may grow a little longer and allow Bill and me several slices apiece of the first official homegrown cuke of the season.
It's in a pot inside the green house, and, as you can see to the right, it has friends of varying sizes. We've been eating from the greenhouse two or three times a week---lovely salads of kale, spinach and lettuce. I'm looking forward to an upcoming feast with the addition of fresh cucumber slices.
It's difficult to capture all that makes spring and May so heavenly around here, but after the rain stopped last evening, I took a stroll and did some clicking.
Animals and humans are all happy with this gorgeous season upon us.
Happy Friday to all.

How about a picture of your greenhouse? Or did you post one earlier that I missed? I've been pondering the possibility of building one for us.
