The first time I ever zeroed in on this barn, Duane "Cap" Davis owned it.

He had a dairy there, and when I was a youngster,  we went to visit him on a 4-H tour.

Cap eventually moved to town and distinguished himself as a wonderful regional photographer.  

 

He passed away several years ago, and I still miss him. 

Later, his farm became part of the extensive V Bar X Ranch, owned by Jim, Virginia Wood and family.

It's on the west side of Woodside Road, while Brian Wood's trucking and rock business is on the right.
