Party-Weekend Fotos

A proper carriage ride with family members followed by a meal of good ol' home cookin' at Western Pleasure Guest Ranch last night topped off the weekend of celebration, honoring our mother's 90th birthday.

Mother is seated in the elegant Western Pleasure carriage with her granddaughters and great-grandchildren and ready to enjoy a trip through the Gold Creek countryside.

This morning, I'll just post photos and let them do the talking on the fun and festivities.

Some will feature scenes from a wonderful family hike through the Ginter Fish and Game Preserve---one of our favorite spots.

So, check back. It may take a while for all those photos to show up.

Many thanks to the Schoonovers, Janice, Roley and Danielle, along with Janice's parents, Jim and Virginia Wood for making the evening so special for everyone, especially for our mother.
Our brother Jim came up from Southern Oregon for the birthday.  Lo and behold, his 1982 SHS classmate Roley Schoonover was driving the carriage.
When you go to Western Pleasure, there's plenty to do, including relaxing in the beautiful yard, as Mary, Laura and Debbie were doing last night while waiting for the carriage.
As usual, Bill and Jim Wood always enjoy a good visit.
Annie and her grandma enjoy a humorous birthday card.
Mike toasts the birthday girl.
Really now,  . . . she did not partake in all those spirits . . . just a sip of champagne while being toasted.  After all, Mother must keep her alcoholic intake to "two fingers," according to her doctor.
In the amazing race to find the geocache at the Ginter property, Sefo prevailed.
Dani led the pack coming from the shade into a beautiful meadow along Lower Pack River. Our hike included 15 people, two dogs and a whole LOT of bug bites, but we enjoyed every moment.

Western Pleasure's basketball court saw a little action last night triplets, cousins and auntie enjoyed a game of pick-up ball.
