Glorious Times

It was "let your hair down" time for Genevieve last night after an action-packed day, ending an action-packed week.

By the time I had posted on my blog yesterday, Willie, Debbie and Genevieve had arrived at a Yoke's grocery store in the Spokane Valley.

Genevieve aka Miss Idaho was doing a live interview on KHQ, helping promote the community-wide food drive for the Second Harvest Food Bank.

The trio stopped at two venues, then headed back to Sandpoint, where by 10 or so, they were enjoying breakfast at the WHOOO--WHOO-Hoot Owl, as Debbie likes to call it.

Then, it was off to a 100th birthday celebration at Farmin School for the Girl Scouts of the USA.

So, when 5 p.m. rolled around, the week of appearances had finally ended for Miss Idaho, who loved topping off her day with a Greek salad with chicken at the Blue Heron Restaurant last night.

I was strolling around shooting photos of springtime splendor when they arrived at the Lovestead.  Once again at that time, the afternoon sun was providing some fun light for me to chronicle another day's progress in outdoor beautification---by Mother Nature with a little human help.

Our plum tree, which last year yielded wonderful plums for a delicious jelly, has been putting on quite a show this past week----way ahead of most of the other flowering trees and shrubs.

And, yesterday was the day I love as much as any all year.  That's when the baby leaves provide shimmering beauty when mixed with the sun's rays.  Bushes and trees are dressing up for the month's ahead, and it's gorgeous.

Today we'll do some downtime fun with Genevieve who'll be heading back to Boise tomorrow.  We have all enjoyed getting to know her better and can assure the citizens of Idaho they have a real gem representing the state in royal fashion.

I have no doubt she has inspired many young people to aspire to great and wonderful dreams throughout her travels in North Idaho.

Tomorrow Debbie will be leaving us on another adventure:  London look out for Debbie Love!

Her best friend has already arrived there.  Alicia's hubby Andrew works for Boeing, so he's over there on a professional gig.

Debbie will join them for two weeks, visiting England and France.  So, we're excited for her as she embarks on another great "time of her life."

Yup, it's a glorious time all right, and we're appreciating all the gifts of every moment.

Happy Sunday.
