A River Wild Adventure

Bill thought up the idea.  Six of us could go on rafting trip on the Kootenai River.

He just wondered how seven dogs could fit in the vessel.

Well, there'll be no dog-day afternoon for us.  Our 4-legged best friends will have to go rafting on another day.

We had a little trouble scheduling  because of everyone's work-related responsibilities but finally landed a date.

Today we'll go for a ride down the magnificent River Wild.

I'll report back if we have any Kevin Bacon or Meryl Streep sightings.

I'm sure hoping no armed killers are out there lurking in the bushes.

Fortunately we have TWO GOOD MEN with us.  They're big, too, so we should be safe from any bad guys.

Some of us are also hoping for no challenging rapids.  Bill hasn't mentioned that possibility so we'll trust that it will be a safe voyage along the Kootenai River from Yaak to Moyie.

That means we'll have three rivers under our rafting belt----all flowing through drop-dead gorgeous country.

So, of course, along with food, shelter from too much sun and beverages, we'll take along cameras and fishing gear.

Actually, Bill is taking his pontoon boat, so I have a hunch there'll be a few "River Runs Through It" images as flies are cast out on to the water.

Hmm, will Brad Pitt appear?

Even if the celebrities don't show, this should be a memorable and adventurous day.

And, if all goes well, I'll have some photos to share tomorrow.

And, who knows?  Maybe I'll also have a tale or two to tell.

Happy Wednesday.
