A Special Memory . . . .

Mani meets with Mother.  Laurie, my son Willie in the background with camera, Mother and brother Mike.

Longtime treasured friends:  Mardette, Marianne, Terri, Gail, Donna, Jean and Mother Tibbs seated next to Terri's pooch.

Laurie's celebration yesterday brought out the best in many many ways.

Magnificence personified as horse and rider circled the fairgrounds arena, demonstrating the talents that made them National Champions.

Old friends who had known Laurie since her little girl years---clear back to the "You hold it, I'll ride it" days of Team Barbara and Laurie.

Kodak moments aplenty, including a kiss from Mani, the Champ,  for Mother, the matriarch.

Delicious carrot cake and good punch served by triplets and other family members.

Tears rolling down the cheeks of many, including Roxzene Bockstruck of Bayview, who raised Mani from a baby and lived her dream of seeing him become a champion.

Hugs and continuous smiles.

Stunning photos of a magical day.

And, a priceless video,  chronicling a lovely exhibition.

We won't forget the day, the faces who were there, the deep meaning of such an achievement or the common pride and love wrapped around one phenomenal event.

It was a truly a day we wish could stand still in time.

Thanks to all who shared the moments.

For those who could not make it, enjoy the video, which includes commentary--after about a minute---on Mani and Laurie's story. Turn up your speakers.

Enjoyed the video and the pictures on Facebook - especially the one of Mani talking to your mom. Thanks for posting!

This is going to be an article in the Daily Bee with pictures...right? and if not, why not? This is a great story of a gal from Sandpoint, doing well. We have football players, golfers, basketball, baseball, tennis.. and why not a horse woman and her horse who made Sandpoint proud????

I'm told an article may appear this week. Dave Gunter interviewed Laurie last week. Stay tuned!
