Yesterday's trip to Schweitzer for this nonskier turned out both fun and productive. I drove up to the mountain with my camera to take a photo of a longtime Schweitzer employee in his work environment.
That worked out great, and meeting some of his colleagues was fun too, especially when I learned that one was connected with our longtime family doctor Fred Marienau.
During my rounds, I met former students and some new friends.
I especially enjoyed meeting Tim in the top photo.
A very nice gentleman with an inspiring story and a can-do attitude, to say the least. I think it will be fun to talk with him more some day.
Brilliant sunshine brought out more than enough big smiles from folks working and playing.
And, maybe a little PBR helped the cause.
Even for one who doesn't ski, Schweitzer offers a great escape to a beautiful place and one pleasant surprise after another from those who visit and recreate at our best community gem----next to beautiful Lake Pend Oreille, that is.
Great day at Ski Magazine's Best Kept Secret.
