Gotta Find and the FIRST to Find
Geocachers know the lingo: when they've finally found what they're looking for, they yell, "Gotta find!" And, in Bill's case yesterday, he may be one of the "FIRST" to find the cache----ladies.
When geocachers go to Las Vegas, a couple of show girls add to the pzaazz of looking for the treasures involved in their sport.
These lovely ladies were on hand to "meet and greet" the geocachers who attended yesterday's Mega Event, and I can tell you that there were hundreds of finds during the day.
I had a great visit with these ladies, and learned that there's a lot more than pink feathers and glitzy body covering. They're both college graduates. One is working on her Master's Degree. They were delightful.
The Mega Event is over and folks are heading off in different directions from Las Vegas today. Annie and three other geocachers are starting a three-day geocaching marathon on the "Extra Terrestial Highway." When it ends, they will have logged 2,500 geocaches and a they'll know the meaning of the word "repetitive," since the route is 250 miles, about ten caches per mile.
We're heading north through Nevada on our way home. Could be today won't be the most scenic of drives, but we've built in some stretches of pretty country to travel, starting tomorrow.
It's been fun here in Las Vegas. Bill and I ate at one of the hotel restaurants last night and then took in some more Bellagio fountain shows along with touring part of Caesar's Palace.
I think he enjoyed Sin City, where the gambling at the slots netted me about a $15 loss and not much desire to throw away any more dollars.
We met a lot of nice people and enjoyed the sights. Now, it's time to get back to real life.
Happy Sunday.
