Turkey Elves, Couch Slouchers, Swags and ZAGS

Bill called it "six feet of Border Collie."

I figured it was pretty amazing:  two full-grown Border Collies, Liam and Kiwi, happily fitting and slouching on the couch this morning.

This weekend we'll be celebrating three years of Liam.  Seems like just yesterday, he took up a lot less room on the couch.

Turkey Elves . . . .
~~~~~~
A whole bunch of eager elves showed up at the Food Bank yesterday to help with the annual Thanksgiving dinner distribution and other projects.
It seemed as if everything was running like clockwork as I strolled through the facility and spent time visiting with some of the many volunteers.
Among them were several foreign exchange students, including Sofia from Rome.  Turns out there was a Roman connection too, as my friend Cindy was in the back handing out canned food.
So, Sofia and Cindy spent a little time getting acquainted.
I also enjoyed visiting with some ladies from the Bonners Ferry area with last names of Cartwright and Plato.
More than 700 donated turkeys and the trimmings will go out to food bank clients this year.
Jose from Bolivia was a ubiquitous figure at the food bank.  Give him a job.  He finishes and is looking for more ways to help.
New friends, Romans and Volunteers, lend me your help.  So, Cindy and Sofia did just that.
Kathy is from Germany.
The two ladies on the left are visiting their family in Dover, so they came to help out.
This young man, who's home from college, helps out at the food bank where his mom Barb works.
That's Tammy, who works the window at the food bank and uses her computer skills to keep track of records.
The staff and students at Selle Valley Carden School are selling swags and holiday signs as a fundraiser for school activities.
Walker, on the right, and his friend came by on their 4-wheeler yesterday afternoon and delivered my two swags for the front deck.
In the "My Oh My" category, there's a BIG game on tap today in Maui.
In yesterday's Maui tournament action, the ZAGS certainly showed character and finally a true picture of their unbelievable talents during a remarkable second-half comeback.
Happily, while we were coming home from the airport, I was able to watch the game after all on You Tube TV, which Annie has on her phone.
I don't think I can ever remember the ZAGS coming back from being down 15 points AND to do that and win by 12.
Twas at times beyond frustrating and even painful to watch as they struggled through the first half.
Happily, they got their act together and tasted probably the sweetest victory in years earn their way to the tournament championship.
Let's hope for some good luck and great play as they take on another incredible team from Duke.
GO, ZAGS!  Let's have a third and final "LANAKILA in Lahaina."  2 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. ESPN
Happy Wednesday.
