A Little Bit Country . . . .

Keepin' it simple today, thanks to simple, countryside beauty and cuteness, all in our neighborhood 'cept for Annie who's doin' a little country deep in the heart of Texas this weekend.

Sometimes we luck out with pictures that totally speak for themselves while warming our hearts.

You may see a few in the collection below.

Also, I've included a video which I saw for the first time today.

It's Lukas Nelson and his group Promise of the Real.

Lukas is the son of the great Willie Nelson, and he's definitely coming into his own.

He has an album coming out in June, and I think the song in the video makes a nice anthem for those of us who have grown beyond weary of the present state of "leadership" or lack thereof in our country.

In the end, it's always up to us to roll up our sleeves and make the genuinely positive differences in our society.

Lukas has a good idea.  Hope you enjoy the video and today's cuteness.

Happy Saturday.

Flipflop Annie flipped yesterday in favor of cowboy boots.

She attended the Fort Worth Rodeo.

She's in Texas for a geocaching event called "Geo Woodstock."

I hear, however, that she was wearing flipflops when she found one notable cache.

Nice hat, Annie.
