Good Bye, March Madness

Note:  Twas Rush Hour Traffic on the Internet 101 this morning and picture downloading ground almost to a halt; hence, a late posting.

Thanks for your patience.

Thirty days hath September, April, June and November

All the rest, 31.

'cept for February alone and that has 28 days clear and 29 each leap year.

But wait

this year of 2020 there's March with 8,000.

Yup, it seems like 8,000 days of enough madness and sadness.

Wish the madness were on a basketball court and that the sadness involved something so simple as a tournament loss.

This will be a March like no other in history.

With this year's March conclusion, the madness and sadness goes on for how long, we know not.

I think that's the most difficult aspect for many of us.

As the newness and constant efforts to find any kind of distraction wear off and stark reality of what is happening in the world outside our respective domiciles hits harder by the day, we must dig deeper, pray harder and connect like never before.

Friends and family and nature emerge as the antidotes to our fears, our dreads and the sameness of each new day with each gut punch of bad news.

We're all in this together, we say

and we must believe.

So, let's maintain, in any sensible way possible  the connections with nature, our friends and our families.

And, more than anything, let's remind ourselves in our deepest moments that our collective sacrifices will help us endure.

As will fresh-of-the-mind, poignant, witty and wise perspectives:

Due to Corona, we officially have three days of the week:

1. Yesterday

2. Today

3. Tomorrow

Happily, as March moves on, so will the flower patches.

My first genuine flower of 2020 began opening up its lovely color yesterday inside the greenhouse.

A nice harbinger of appreciated beauty ahead.

And, while we are at it, here's from my friend Dennis at our Selle Flower Farm . . . .

The Flower Farm

We have a national crisis.

We are at war.

There is no politics.

There is no red and blue.

It's red, white and blue."

My friend Myra sent this to me this morning.  I know it's going viral, but that's okay.  Our friends mean so much to us, more than ever at times like these.

Thank you, Myra, and sending love and good wishes to all my friends.
