My farrier John Fuller is coming this morning, so not a lot of chitchat today.
A busy day lies ahead, including a trip to the airport with my sister Laurie who is headed for Nampa to join our sister Barbara, brother Kevin and friend Roxzene.
They'll be wrapping up the regional Arabian show they've been attending, and Laurie will ride Barbara's horse Dusty in a class tomorrow.
In a nutshell, Laurie's going from out of the heat into the fire. It's been much hotter down in Southern Idaho.
We're going from hot to damn hot here. My cell phone weather forecast informed me that the lowest temperature we can expect for the next ten days is 59 degrees, and that's only once. Every other low is in the 60s.
Not looking forward to the next few days, but if we can get through a Pandemic, we can find the resiliency to beat this unusual summer heat.
John is coming early this morning as part of his strategy to stay cool.
It's been quite a horsey week with horse camp and with the Southern Idaho Arabian show AND with yesterday's news that my neighbor Boston Bode placed in the Top Ten for the segment called "trail at hand" in the National Mustang Challenge.
Congratulations, Boston. You worked hard and deserve this recognition of your efforts.
