Saturday Slight

The sprinkler system from the sky is operating smoothly this Saturday morning.

That is very good.

The sound of soft rain and occasional woodpecker chatter is all that breaks the silence outside my window.

Within, there's a sense of calm and relief that at least one of the major worries about the natural world is gradually being washed away.

Grass will grow. Forest fires will subside.

Beauty will come back to the land.

The earth and maybe even our souls will be replenished with each and every blessed raindrop.

It's a good day for silence and quiet gratitude.

Happy Saturday.
