Art in the December Sky; TBT

All politics, contrasting beliefs or other conflicts aside, it was obvious, while scrolling through Facebook last night and this morning, that folks universally agreed on one topic:  Mother Nature gave us a beautiful show as the sun set yesterday.

SO many beautiful photos from so many angles showcased the early evening sun show in North Idaho.

We didn't see too much sun during the day, but I'd say those few minutes of stunning artistic beauty pretty much all around us as dusk came on made up for what we missed in the day time.

Light of any kind can be both lifting and artistic. Its creations are also fleeting, so it's nice to have the camera handy to reward ourselves and other Facebook users who may not have been outside during that time.

This morning we have returned to the gray, but I must say that Bill lit up the morning mood, turning on the TV for the first segment of TV Christmas music for 2021.

Christmas music takes us on our own adventures back to our nostalgic past. What a ride that is to remember the faces, the times, the moments, the beauty of seasons past.

While listening to certain songs, we may even occasionally shed a tear or two in our desire to reclaim those times and the people who made them happen.

I'm sure we'll be treated to the morning musical delights through the next few weeks and maybe even for a few days afterward.

It's kinda nice to approach the Christmas season gradually, focusing on one aspect at a time.

This morning it's music.  Soon, it will be the lights and the decorations and the tree and the presents and the treats and the giving and especially the people who mean so much to us.

So, let's just state and hope that good times lie ahead where we can create another collection of new and unique memories for future reflections.

For each of us, some of the pictures of good times of Christmas may vary, but like last night's universally acclaimed sunset, we'll find some commonality and maybe even create the greatest gift of all for the season---understanding, appreciating and respecting each other.

Happy Thursday.

Thursday Throwback Grab Bag . . . .As usual, it was fun to scroll through my photo library this morning and pull out some scenes of past times.

No rhyme or reason for the choices; just fun images of my personal travels from yesteryear.

Enjoy.
