Fresh from the garden.
Hardly the best crop ever of either item but still nice to have something to show for the seeds.
I picked plums yesterday and will probably pick some more corn for Saturday-night dinner today.
Regardless of quantity, nothing beats the taste of fresh, fresh food we've grown ourselves.
Speaking of food, according to an article in this morning's Daily Bee, there are some major needs for food and non-food items at the Bonner Community Food Bank.
The piece provides an address where you can donate or deliver items.
And, you don't need to live in Sandpoint to help out. Debbie will LOVE you.
Thanks for reading and for considering a donation.

Bill and I spent some rare time in downtown Sandpoint last night. He suggested we go to MickDuff's for dinner.
The 20-minute wait for a table on an evening like last nights was uncharacteristically delightful.
First, we walked around outside and just enjoyed the relative quiet and beautiful scenes as the sun cast late afternoon rays across the landscape.
Then, while waiting on the steps outside the restaurant, some former students visited with us.
And, by golly, even though downtown Sandpoint is a tourist mecca anymore, we sat at a table next to FOUR Sandpoint natives, all of whom I've known since my teaching days at the high school.
Great seeing them all.
Twas a nice evening.
Today is forecast as not the best weatherwise, but I don't mind the way it has started out.
Will be spending much of the day either mowing lawn or working on writing assignments.
Happy Saturday.
