It may be another week until National Grandparents' Day, but Bill and I celebrated the occasion big time yesterday when we met our new grandpuppy.
So far, his name is Kenny.
Willie and Debbie brought him home from Hunters, Wash., the same place where Liam was born.
Kenny is a Golden Border Collie. We saw pictures of his mom and dad, and they are beautiful.
Kenny is a cuddler, and he seemed to be taking his first day away from his original home in stride.
The little guy remained pretty calm as people picked him up and snuggled while dogs sniffed him all over as he trotted around the yard.
Foster had to be especially happy because, for a short time, he's actually bigger than another dog.
If he's anything like Liam, though, Kenny will soon surpass Foster in size.
Kenny had not yet met his big brother Joe or his kitty sister Pepper.
So, after giving us ample time to take turns holding the young pup, Willie, Debbie and Kenny headed for his new home and his new forever friends.
We are so happy for them and for the Border Collie Nation which is welcoming a cute new kid on the block.
