Did you know that the Appaloosa is the official horse of the great state of Idaho?
This distinction was bestowed upon the breed in 1975.
The national office and museum for Appaloosa Horse Club is located in Moscow, Idaho.
Although the Appaloosa in the photo above originally came from Oklahoma, she has spent most of her life here at the Lovestead.
Most regular readers already know that's Lily, which is her barn name.
Her registered name is Easy Dream Design.
Which brings me to another Idaho topic designed to easily help others with their dreams.

Did you know that Idaho is filled with citizens who quietly engage in good works aimed at bettering the lives of those around them?
Many of these people seldom make national headlines, nor do they seek the limelight.
They're too busy helping others for such things.
My friend and former student Bryant Jones has decided to devote part of his busy life as a father of three and Boise State doctoral candidate to shine the spotlight on some of the amazing people in our state and to inspire support for their individual causes.
Using his newly launched "Humans of Idaho" website, Bryant will provide monthly feature stories about Idahoans across the state, engaged in and dedicated to a variety of activities which fulfill their own personal passions and provide positive support for others.
The process is simple for anyone tuning into this brand new website, launched Oct. 1.

Read the story.
Look at the pictures.
If the blend of words and pictures touches your heart, donate.
Finally, pass along the site to others, and encourage them to do the same.
Funds donated throughout each month go to the individual cause of that person featured.

One last thought: you can also support the site by suggesting names of Idahoans deserving this kind of recognition and financial support.
More information is listed below.
Just below the logo for Humans of Idaho, you'll see a link which will take you to the inaugural feature story.
Let's show the world the true beauty, inspiration and humanity which exists in citizens throughout Idaho.
Finally, good luck and thank you, Bryant, for taking on this worthy cause. 💗💗💗
Humans of Idaho raises funds to support communities and individuals making change in Idaho. Each month you can check our website and social media accounts to see an Idahoan featured by our nonprofit.
