It's just dang pretty out there today.
Calves are still bawling for their mommies over across the road at Taylor's.
Seems they're not giving up on having one more meal from Mama's udder.
There's a little fog out there, but it will burn off soon for yet another lovely day in the neighborhood.
I have to talk to CB about his timing.
He didn't realize this morning, when I put some brushes in the horse trailer in semi-darkness, that it was hardly time to load up and go over to my sisters for the Tuesday arena session.
The instant I closed the tack-room door to the trailer, CB left his hay pile in mid-bite and headed for the far end of the pasture.
He seemed a bit confused as he stood out there in the pasture all by himself, while I left the area to take Bridie for her post-chores morning walk.
Maybe, if I go to the trailer several times in the morning, he'll give up on those immediate exits to a place where he thinks he can't be caught.
Crazy horse!
I just hope he's not crazy when we finally do start loading up and heading to Colburn.
Life in general around here is pretty mundane and somewhat relaxing for the time being.
We have been blessed with a beautiful week of weather. Later, in the week, two brothers are coming for visits.
So, the action will heat up as the days roll on.
For now, life is good and totally worth enjoying every minute.
So, that's what I'll do. Hope you can do the same.
Happy Tuesday.
For local voters. Give Steve a chance! I believe he'll serve his entire constituency well. |
Morning has broken like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the world
Sweet the rains new fall, sunlit from Heaven
Like the first dewfall on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where His feet pass
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day
Morning has broken like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the world
