Groundhog Day: Shadows???

If all goes well today, I won't be needing a glasses like those above and below.

In all honesty, the wearers don't need them either.

Just happened to catch them having a fun lunch at Trinity Restaurant a few years ago, and couldn't resist using the photos for this auspicious day in my vision history.

'Tis like a groundhog day because it will seem like I've done all this before.

Starve all morning, have Bill take me to the hospital, dress in an ugly hospital gown, get poked, dripped on and interrogated with the same questions for a few hours, listen to Irish music and then to the whirr of an ultrasound as it pulverizes my remaining cataract and then vacuums it up to make ready for a synthetic lens.

After having one cataract removed last Thursday, I know the drill for this Thursday and can't wait to see what I can see.

When it's over, I'm looking forward to the first day in the rest of my life of seeing the Earth with more clarity than I've experienced in years.

Bill's also excited about this---not so much that his wife can see better but knowing that when he comes to pick me up, he can try the new fish and chips place in town.

It's called "On the Hook," and it's supposed to be open for business about the time I'm dismissed from the hospital.

So, it's a banner day for both of us.

Bill never met a plate of fish and chips he didn't like, and I'm gonna love having a brand new perspective on life and maybe even see my shadow cuz the sun is gonna shine.

Today I loaded up with some Throwback Thursday photos.

Hope you enjoy.  Happy Thursday.
