VOTE!!

What better thing to do on a rainy day than to go VOTE!

The rain can wash away the earth's residue  while you cleanse the governmental system in whatever way you wish.

I think there's some cleansing about to happen at various levels in today's general election.  Of course, whether it's necessary or not is ALL in the perspective.

Bill and I don't view our single vote in today's election as a cleanse; instead, supporting Scott Wood for School Board would be viewed as prudent maintenance.

So, after 8 a.m., in the misty rain, we'll load up the dogs and drive to the neighborhood church which doubles as our polling place.

While the dogs snooze in the car, we'll do some visiting with neighbors serving on the election staff.  Visiting is usually sprinkled with a little fun banter, and then we'll walk in and blacken out the box next to Scott Wood's name.

Besides voting for Scott Wood for our Lake Pend Oreille School District 84 School board . . .

. . . we are aligning with the Coeur d'Alene Tribe and enthusiastically supporting a candidate for the Plummer-Worley Board.

She is our niece, and her name is Laura Laumatia.

Laura Laumatia

It's an understatement to say that Laura, a Cornell University grad who comes from an extended family of educators, has all the credentials to serve in an educationally focused position.

Plummer-Worley School Board elections are tomorrow! Please support our kids and vote!

The Coeur d’Alene Tribe has endorsed Laura Laumatia in zone 2, Nicky James in zone 4, Brian Clark in zone 5 and Payton Biles-Hodgson in zone 6.

Please do your research and vote for the person who you believe will do the best job!

from Laura Laumatia

Friends,

I’m running for school board this election because I believe that this district - and our students’ academic experiences - can be strengthened by improved communication and better use of the wealth of talents, skills, and knowledge of this incredible community.

I’d appreciate your consideration if you live in Zone 2. Regardless of how you vote, if you live in 2,4,5, or 6, please come to the polls tomorrow!

The best way we can make change is by casting our ballots!

Good luck today, Laura.

For some rainy-day fun, meet and enjoy Mia Black from Galway, Ireland.

"As all up and coming musicians seem to nowadays, Mia started making videos for social media, particularly YouTube. Mia has her own channel, which has almost 95,000 subscribers.

Her most popular video to date is a cover of Ed Sheeran’s Perfect, which has been viewed 3.3 million times. Her combined videos have clocked up over 8.3 million views.

Mia’s channel is not the only place her fame is spreading. She also features regularly on the Dublin City Today channel, and these videos have been viewed over 10 million times.

It’s little wonder her fame goes way beyond the borders of her native Ireland."
