It snowed most of the day yesterday.
Twas a soggy sort of snow, but this morning, with cooler temperatures, it's turned to a "stick-to-your -boots" consistency.
Today's snow depth and consistency causes a problem for Bridie's ball sessions.
The ball rolls under the snow, and unless she's able to sniff it out, it will stay there until a meltdown occurs.
This morning, as the ball was thrown in the darkness, we managed to find it every time, but that may end soon if it keeps snowing.
We'll have to clean out the trails fairly soon before the real freeze takes over. I guess the nice part of the upcoming single and below zero temps is that we can walk on top of the snow.
I think our weather has made many skiers and boarders and the Schweitzer staff very happy.
With minimal snow, they've missed so much of the prime time of the season, so I'm sure that yesterday's snow, even if it wasn't all that deep, was a welcome sight at Schweitzer.
In other news, it's gonna be a big TV day for us. We'll watch a couple of football games (Montana and Seattle). You can read more about the Montana game below.
Also, we're all primed to watch the "Golden Globes" tonight.
Many of our family members are excited about the nomination of Lily Gladstone for Best Actress.
Annie knows someone who knew of Lily as a fellow student in Seattle. And, Lily comes from the Blackfeet Tribe in Montana.
So, the relatively local aspect, along with the fact that her performance in "Killers of the Flower Moon" was amazing, has us all hoping she wins.
Plus, we loved the movie and its actors.
Another TV activity for me today comes at noon when I join a ZOOM session for the upcoming season of "All Creatures Great and Small."
Since it's one of my favorite shows on TV, I thought it would be fun to see what a pre-season ZOOM session entails. Maybe the actors will be part of it.
Will report tomorrow.
Anyway, we've got snow and we've got TV.
On this Sunday, Jan. 7, that seems like a good thing.
Happy Sunday.

🏉🏉🏉🏉🏉
If you plan to watch the FSC national championship game between South Dakota State and the University of Montana today, there's a Sandpoint and a Lovestead connection.
No. 66 for the University of Montana worked one summer as one of our hay hands. And, he's been to the place to visit a time or two.
Brandon Casey is the son of Bart and Anne Marie Casey of Sandpoint and the grandson of the late Jack Parker and his wife Shirley.
His girl friend Emma also lived with Willie and Debbie for a year and attended Sandpoint High School as an exchange student from Berlin, Germany. She now attends the University of Montana.
For the record, Brandon is a wonderful young man. We've seen him as a worker and as a family friend. He's a great student and a pretty good football player.
As an offensive lineman, he was named this season to the first team All Big Sky Conference.
We wish Brandon and his fellow Grizzlies (13-1) the best today as they attempt to bring the national championship back to Missoula.
The game, which will be played in Frisco, Tex., airs at 11 a.m. Pacific Standard Time on ABC.
GO, Griz!
This morning, North Idaho Sunday sports columnist Mark Nelke has devoted his column to Brandon and another Grizzly player from Coeur d'Alene.
Also, in the "We're all connected" department, the column includes comments from someone I featured in yesterday's blog post: Brandon's Sandpoint High School football coach Ryan Knowles.
