LOVE Is in the Air

 

Happy Valentine's Day 2024

Whether your day leads up to a romantic candlelight dinner with a person you love or to somewhere fun with those you love, may it be a good day.

And, may we remember that this is the day when flowers and candy and candlelight dinners remind us of the best four-letter word in the world. 

LOVE

But there are 364 other days in most years (365) in this one to show and experience LOVE. 

Love is in the air today, as it should be every day.

  This just happens to be the commercial version dedicated to LOVE, and this year, this day is ironically,  Ash Wednesday.

Ash Wednesday, celebrated by Catholics and a number of other religions, marks the beginning of Lent and the journey of sacrifice and prayer leading us to the joy of Easter. 

It's not often that the day of Love coincides with the day of ashes and sacrifice, but today's that day. 

We all view these institutional days in our own ways, and that is just fine, as far as I'm concerned. 

Tomorrow will be another day with no real significance like we see today.

  Let's hope, however, that, as we think about Lent and what we might be sacrificing for several weeks, let's not sacrifice the love we feel for our loved ones, two legged and four, and for the Earth itself and for the gifts that Nature has bestowed upon us. 

Love is a strong and passionate emotion which is felt in so many ways, and that is probably why it's earned the distinction as the best four-letter word in the world. 

Not bad for a last name either 😍 

In my personal view of LOVE, I think that country singer Tom T. Hall, via the old Chevy truck,  says it all. 

May your day and every day after be filled with LOVE.

There was never a truer statement:  what the world needs now is LOVE sweet Love.
