March On, Winter

When  your next-door neighbor sends you this image from Paradise, you must reciprocate (below).

That way she knows what she is missing out on here at home while basking in sunshine and warmth of the Hawaiian Islands.

I'm sure she misses North Idaho.

She may be enjoying Paradise, but in our warm, cozy house while snow was falling outside, we got to watch the ZAGS last night, and all she got was a text from me with the halftime score.

On this first morning of March, the snow still falls and Bill and I are both enjoying the fact that the ZAGS one-point lead over San Francisco at the half  erupted within the first few minutes of the second half to as many as 24 points.

Oh what a feeling it was to see the ZAGS back to playing consistent and beautiful ZAGS basketball!

Good timing, indeed.

My neighbor will be back home to reality soon.

Then she can sit inside her warm house tomorrow night while snow IN MARCH falls and hope for a repeat of last night's wonderful ZAG win, only this time over the St. Mary's Gaels.

Moving into March, we basketball fans are getting excited about March Madness.

Many leagues are finishing up their final games this weekend.  Then, will come the tournaments, and, in two weeks on St. Patrick's Day, Selection Sunday will give us the lowdown on both men's and women's teams and where and if they'll land in the tournament.

Let's hope both of our ZAGS teams get a good dose of the luck 'o the Irish.

For now, Happy Friday.

My morning walk with Bridie was so pretty, even if it IS in March.

We walked through the woods instead of the usual trek around the hay field.

Virtually every scene along the way was exquisite.

I did have to step carefully, though, because of standing water underneath the snow.

Fortunately, none seeped into my boots.
