This, That; TBT

We waited a while to put the sunglasses on yesterday, but eventually, snow clouds left and blue skies and squirrels dominated the afternoon hours.

Today we're ready to roll on work projects. Bill has plans to burn some brush in the woods, and I'll work away at whatever I can outside.

Yesterday's highlight for me was spending some time at an open house at the newly opened Family Pet Urgent Care for area veterinary professionals.

Dr. Michelle Ward welcomed them and gave them an overview of what to expect from the service she and her staff will be providing.

The clinic is a beautiful facility with lots of open space and windows.

I enjoyed seeing a few familiar faces from my own veterinary experiences with our pets.  Besides Michelle, another former student turned veterinarian showed up with her best friend.

Dr. Talitha Neher, seen below with her dog,  also endorsed my first book.

It was also fun to meet Michelle's staff.

Besides urgent care, the clinic offers microchips and dog tags.

As you'll see Family Pet Urgent Care, which serves small animals, is open Friday through Monday from noon to 10 p.m.

Lots of snow yesterday, dressing up the mountains but happily melting into green grass in the valleys.
