Watching and Smiling

We couldn't do anything about the snow except watch it fall.

We also watched a lot of basketball yesterday.

And, to our delight, we watched Miss Bailey get acquainted with her doggie Aunt Bridie and her Uncle Little Foster.

While Bailey did her meet and greet, big brother Joe relaxed and watched like a dog who's been there, done that.

Oh yeah, Bailey spent time getting to know her people grandparents too.

While here, she played in the hay field in a snow-globe-like world of big white flakes falling from the sky.

She also drank a LOT of water and pawed a lot of water.

Bailey seldom stopped moving while in our house yesterday.  Same was true with Bridie.

The two hit it off as playmates.

Once again on a March day, the snow ended up creating some magical and beautiful scenes around the place.

This morning Bridie and I chose to walk in the south woods where the huge trees catch the falling snow, making walking both easy and cushy with a thick bed of needles between the snow and the hard ground.

This morning, as ZAG fans,  Bill and I are floating, probably like all the other members of the worldwide ZAG Nation.

Our beloved team has gotten past their stumbles and has come together like a well-oiled machine.

We were all treated to another beautiful game of basketball last night as the team finished its WCC season with a big win over arch rival Saint Mary's in their house, no less.

Patience, hard work and phenomenal coaching has once again paid off, and we of the ZAG Nation couldn't be any prouder of the team and its coaching staff.

Bill and I both talked this morning about how next year ought to be unbelievable, especially since only one player, the beloved Anton Watson, will graduate.

So, we're thrilled about how this season has unfolded and definitely excited about the possibilities for next year's team.

We're also thrilled and speechless at the generous gesture of Debbie's mom Irene who sent us the nicest piece of ZAG swag that one could ever imagine.

It's a beautifully crafted piece of metal art, as you see in the photo below.

Apparently, Irene has heard about how the decor in this household is heavily accented by ZAG posters, photographes (first ZAG team to ever reach No. 1), hoops and other memorabilia.

We are looking forward to hanging it in a place of honor.  Thank you so much, Irene.  You know what tugs at the heart strings here.

💜💛💚💓💗💙

Finally, to our friends up north in Bonners Ferry, CONGRATULATIONS on your 3A state champion boys basketball team.

How cool is that??

So happy for the team, coaches and the community.

Happy Sunday to all.

Bailey and Bridie are good buddies.

They met yesterday for the first time and hit it off.

Foster didn't seem to mind meeting Bailey, but he did snarl at her a couple of times, reminding her to stay out of his space.
