Who needs Aurora Borealis or artist Jackson Pollack when you've got 95 Express Car Wash in Ponderay, Idaho.
Bill was actually inspired by some of the photos he'd seen of this weekend's colorful and amazing Northern Lights show.
He had been through the carwash once before, so besides a pretty yellow rose, as a Mother's Day gift, he gave the dogs and me a ride through the facility.
The Subaru was dirty, even crusty on the bottom, so he wanted me to have a clean car for Mother's Day.
Twas a neat experience, and a wonderful photographic adventure as we were moved on through all the brushes and water and soap and whatever else they use to clean up a car.
The best part for me were the pictures.
First time I've ever been able to feign being a modern artist.
If you locals haven't had the experience, give it a try and be sure to take your camera.
Mother's Day was lovely, including a phone conversation with Annie and dinner at the Ice House pizzeria with Willie and Debbie.
And, of course, their gifts of more flowers will add even more color and joy to the place.
If you are on her subscription list, you already know that Annie is beginning to gear up for her fifth Camino de Santiago pilgrimage.
This one starts in France and goes 500 miles across Northern Spain to the ultimate destination of Santiago de Compostela.
If you are not on her Adventure Annie blogspot subscription list and want to learn about the preparation and the actual walk which will begin in August and end in September, click on the link below and sign up to receive posts from her.
They'll be scattered to begin with because she'll simply write from time to time on different aspects of preparation for the journey.
Once the trip begins, you can expect to see her thoughts and her photos for each day's walk, often averaging between 12-22 miles.
So, check it out, and sign up.
Annie has posted her first entry, explaining how and why she gets to take off time from work to do this incredible experience.

Bill used his Christmas present for the first time this weekend.
It cooked up the hamburgers and his fish just fine.
Twas fun to have a summer meal with meat from the grill.
No plum blossoms to speak of this year, but the big apple tree is putting on quite a show this week.
I noticed that the blueberry bushes are also loaded with their little blossoms.
Hopefully, we'll pick lots of berries in a few weeks and apples this fall.
All is copacetic among the dogs and ponies---or at least it looks that way.
Horses are in heaven as they eat green grass, while Bridie gets to do her job keeping track of them.
Anticipation is great for the reopening of the historic Hope Hotel (above) and even greater around Sandpoint this week for the annual classic car extravaganza Lost in the '50s.
Lots going on in town as May moves on, and Sandpoint Magazine's summer edition will be out later this week.
Fun times ahead.
Happy Monday.
