Thursday This, That; TBT

Not a lot to report this morning except it's cold outside.

A brisk and steady wind out of the north sent me back into the house for a warmer vest.

Even with the additional clothing, it was cold.

The good thing about the cooler temperatures is that the flowers for decorating the graves this weekend should still be in their prime rather than dried up.

Today I'll be re-planting my green beans.  I fell for that nice weather about three weeks ago when it felt like July and planted my beans.

The fact that the warm weather lasted several days did not help the bean seeds.  All but about six or seven are still hiding under ground, and the beans that did come up look pretty sick.

So, from now on, I'll not let early summer weather deceive me.

As noted, it's cold today but in two days we'll be pushing 70 and this may be okay weather when planting a garden in North Idaho.

One would think a native of this area would know better, but natives also know that sometimes the weather does not behave like its usual self.

So, I had hope that those beans would get an early start.  Silly me.

I noticed this morning that the lettuce seed which I planted about the same time was successful.  A whole row of iddy biddy lettuce leaves showed up overnight.

Our weather has been of the hot and cold flash variety.  Yesterday was cold, but last evening was heavenly and perfect for a nice ride on Lily.

We even went down the road both directions and out into the hay field.  It was a delightful ride, and Lily seemed happy to go.

As noted, not a lot on my mind that I choose to discuss on the blog.  There's plenty I can say about the outside world but choose to use my filter and keep my mouth shut, at least for today.

So, enjoy the photos and be sure check out how many words you use in the two English language lists.

Whatever you do today, please, don't leave any tittynope on your dinner plate.

Happy Thursday.

Today I might just have to try some bibbling and yaffling.

Thursday Throwbacks . . . .
