"No Kings" Gathering, Sandpoint, Idaho

Before I turn you toward yesterday's Sandpoint "No Kings" protest, I want to share my favorite photo from yesterday.  And, it was not in Sandpoint.

The photo above was taken in Chicago, and it features our family cousins, the Shorts:  Bill and
Brendan. Bill is a proud WWII veteran, and he's 100 years old.  He has seen a lot in his lifetime, and after all his life experiences, he remains pro democracy and anti dictators.

Thanks, Bill, for inspiring all us young' uns.

Folks went home from Sandpoint's "No Kings" protest feeling very good about their community which added about 800 voices to yesterday's national "No Kings" protests.

Twas upbeat, enthusiastic, fun and inspiring to see so many friends, family members, former colleagues and even a famous actor raising their homemade signs and their voices.

Hats off to the Sandpoint police for keeping everyone safe and for quelling any potential problems.

Also, generous thanks to the organizers who worked tirelessly to ensure a great event.

Overall, I observed a gathering of well-behaved citizens and, like so many others, I was extremely proud of my hometown.

We're from Sandpoint and we couldn't be any prouder.

Enjoy the album.

Also, Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there, and Happy 51st year to Bill and me. It's been and continues to be an adventuresome and fun ride!

 Happy Sunday.
